Impulse Control? No. Stimulus Control!

Impulse Control, “that thing” that every dog “should have”

“That thing” that is an issue with big breeds.

“That thing” that is an issue with bully breeds.

“That thing”, Impulse Control, is wrong.

Impulse Control in Dogs, as my colleague Sarah Owings discusses and I completely agree, is Stimulus Control.

Everything is learning, as Susan Friedman says.

Behaviour is always lead by antecedents and consequences.
